Keep Rising! centers its summit around five critical pillars of success: mental health, leadership, self-esteem, entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Through these pillars, Keep Rising! aims to equip young girls with the tools and confidence they need to thrive in their personal lives.
Through these five pillars of success, Keep Rising! creates a comprehensive support system that empowers girls to reach their full potential and become confident and capable leaders in their communities and beyond.
Workshops at the summit are designed to be interactive and hands-on, ensuring that girls not only learn but also apply new skills in practical ways. With a mission to provide young girls with tools, resources and confidence they need to become leaders, Keep Rising! has a vision to create a world where every girl is equipped to reach her potential.
As we become a part of the international dialogue surrounding the intellectual, spiritual and mental make-up of girls, Keep Rising! will continue to be a part of the positive impact in the lives of girls in our community and around the world.
One Dynamic Day
Keep Rising! Empowerment Summit for Girls is a dynamic one-day empowerment summit specifically curated for girls 13-17. A 501(c)3 organization, this empowerment summit brings together entrepreneurs and thought leaders to ignite a fire within every girl that attends the summit. Since 2015, Keep Rising! has hosted three summits and has impacted more than 300 girls.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Founded in 2015, Keep Rising! Empowerment Summit for Girls was established out of a desire to inspire and empower girls 13-17. A leader and passionate advocate for girls, Venus Alexandria has dedicated her life to creating opportunities for girls to thrive, achieve their dreams and become leaders in their communities.
Her journey from a determined young girl to a visionary leader is a testament to her resilience, determination and unwavering belief that there is power in the positive impact in the lives of girls. Understanding the critical need for targeted support to help girls overcome societal and systemic obstacles, Venus Alexandria has set out to develop an organization that would provide comprehensive support to empower girls to succeed.
Founded on 5 Pillars of Success: mental health, leadership, financial literacy, self-esteem, and entrepreneurship, Keep Rising! offers a multifaceted approach to addressing the needs of girls. With the goal of fostering confident, capable and compassionate leaders, Keep Rising! strives to be an impactful organization.
For more than a decade, Venus Alexandria honed her skills in media relations, crisis communication and brand management. She has expertise in crafting compelling narratives for diverse audiences. She served as the communications officer for North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company, the oldest and largest African- American life insurance company in the country where she became a strong advocate for financial literacy in the African-American community. With a desire to create a cohesive and positive identity, she served as the marketing strategy and branding specialist at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, one of the largest school districts in North Carolina.
She is an award-winning philanthropist receiving awards from various organizations including, Winston-Salem State University and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women of Charlotte. She is the author of The Power Within Me: A Keep Rising! Girls’ Guide to Loving Herself.
Venus Alexandria holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Winston-Salem State University, a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Strayer University and a Master’s in Divinity from Hood Theological Seminary. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
